Abstract

The competence of Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers in applying the scientific approach are still low. The Peer coaching model with ADKAR management support (Awareness, Desire, Ability, Knowledge, and Reinforcement) ensures teacher readiness to consistently improve teacher competence with colleagues at work. The implementation procedure and the teacher's ability to apply peer coaching are prepared for the continuity of its implementation through the development of the CERIA peer coaching model. Development research (R and D) was carried out with the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implementation and Evaluation) stages, which aimed to find the model's characteristics, feasibility, and effectiveness. The results showed 1) the features of the model: a). the cyclic procedure, b). they were embedded in the job, c). content focuses on improving teacher competence, d). observation by colleagues does not assess, e) the results of observations are reflected collaboratively, f) feedback inspires, g) action reinforcement h) is reciprocal. 2) the feasibility of the model based on the validity results is very feasible with a score of 90.4, based on teacher responses with aspects: relative advantages, compatibility, complexity, observability, trialability, an average of 84.1 with a very feasible category. 3) The effectiveness of the model is high on the implementation of I (first) and II (second) with a value of Sig. (2-tailed) is <0.05 with N-Gain Score >75, it is concluded that the CERIA peer coaching model effectively increases teacher competence in implementing scientific learning. It is recommended that ECE management implement the CERIA peer coaching model to improve the competence of ECE teachers in the workplace.
