Formation Of Gender Identity In Karakalpakstan And The Role Of Social Institutions In These Processes

Abstract

This article examines the issues of gender identity based on the Karakalpak folk traditions. The author emphasizes that social institutions play an important role in the formation of gender identity: family, educational system, and family ties. Also, the article shows the methodological aspects of gender relations from a sociological point of view.
