Quality of the Visum et Repertum of Injuries Living Victims as a Basis for Policy Making at H. Adam Malik Hospital, Medan

Abstract

Introduction: Visum et repertum (VeR) as a useful evidence for judges in making court court decisions, Based on Indonesian medical council/KKI Regulation number 11 of 2012 concerning SKDI states doctors do not make VeR according to scientific standards that should be done. problems in the VeR service. This research aims to analyze the quality of VeR at H. Adam Malik Hospital and provide input in making policies in overcoming the above problems.Methods: The design of this study was a retrospective descriptive study of the VeR of injuries from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018. The study was conducted from May to June 2019. Data was collected in the Medical Records section of H. Adam Malik Hospital Medan. The sample is all VeR data from life injuries from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018. The sample used is the total population sampling. Data analysis of the variables of the VeR elements was carried out using the Herkutanto scoring method against the 13 elements of post mortem, given a score of 0, 1 and 2 with the highest score of 2, while descriptive analysis was carried out on the quality of post mortem et repertum.Results: The total sample of the study was 15 cases (15 VeR), the quality of the VeR preliminary injury was 70%. The quality of the VeR injury in the news section was 66.50%. The quality of the VeR wound in the conclusion section was 60.0%. The general quality of the VeR of injuries was 63.04%.Conclusion: The quality of the VeR of injured victims of life at RSUPH Adam Malik Medan for the period January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018, the quality of the wound VeR was 63.04% which means that the quality is moderate
