Abstract

This study aimed to explore the attitudes of students in the educational sciences faculty in Zarqa University towards distance education in the light of COVID 19 crisis. The descriptive survey-based approach was adopted. A random sample was chosen from the students enrolled in the faculty of educational sciences in Zarqa University. The study’s sample consists from 198 female and male students. The questionnaire consists from 20 items. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire were checked. Based on the overall mean, the attitudes of students in the educational sciences faculty in Zarqa University towards distance education in the light of COVID 19 crisis are positive. There isn’t any significant difference –at the statistical significance level of a≤0.05- between the respondents’ attitudes which can be attributed to gender or major. In the light of the study’s results, the researchers of the present study recommend providing more attention to distance education by the officials in Jordanian public and private universities, including faculty deans, and heads of academic departments. The researchers of the present study recommend delivering such education to all students in all majors
