Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the psychometric characteristics of the Motivation to Learn Creative Thinking Scale (MLCT-Scale) among Kindergarten children. Therefore, this study employed the Descriptive survey methodology, by applying the MLCT- scale that consisted of 21 items using 5-points Likert Scale and was distributed among (360) randomly selected Kindergarten children in Amman city, Jordan, after the concept and concurrent validity of the scale were assessed. The results revealed high values of correlation coefficients between difficulty and discrimination factors measured by Traditional Measurement Theory. Concept and concurrent validity correlation coefficients were in high values in the study's findings. Further, an Exploratory Factor Analysis was done where it showed that the 5 scale dimensions were with strong loadings. The researcher recommended implementing the Motivating Children to Learn Creative Thinking Scale in the kindergartens.
