Abstract

The negative impact of eco-tourism activities on natural forests can be overcome by empowering local communities in conservation-based eco-tourism activities to maintain natural resources in the area. Community service carried out at the Pangumbahan Beach Turtle Conservation Center in the form of socialization about the development of conservation-based eco-tourism aims to increase public understanding and awareness of the Pangumbahan Beach Turtle Conservation Center about the importance of maintaining the natural resource wealth in Pangumbahan Village so that it is not misused or damaged by visitors. The application of the principles and concepts of conservation-based eco-tourism development in preserving ecosystem functions, preserving natural tourist attractions, socio-cultural sustainability, satisfaction, safety, visitor comfort, and the direction of economic benefits. This service activity is planting tree seedlings as proof of concern for conservation and getting good support from the local community.
