Abstract

The need for supervision among the emerging millennial nurses is characterized by their dominancy as workforce in the healthcare services and dynamism of their holistic-being. This qualitative study from a phenomenological approach explored the supervision of the emerging millennial nurse as experienced by nurse administrators. The participants of the study were 8 nurse administrators from secondary and tertiary level, government and privately owned hospitals. Thematic insights were generated in terms of the millennial generation nurses’ knowledge, skills, and attitudes. It also highlighted the challenges encountered by nurse administrators as well as their management strategies and techniques in dealing with these nurses.
