Abstract

This chapter begins with the developments relatedto the freedom in the matter of the religion and also shows that led toliberty in conscience being achieved. It describes how concept of the state & religion separation is becoming one of the dominant beliefs in the historical aspect.It goes to tackle the question of how notion of the secularism is perceived from the primary stream of the religion. The question of role of religious freedom in the public arena isdebated in this chapter. This chapter also discuss about origin of this concept in the human history.
