Abstract

The play ‘Abraham Lincoln’ is from the year of 1918 is a masterpiece, as regarded by many and the John Drinkwater’s play reflected on the life event and sequences of one of the most celebrated presidents of United States of America, Abraham Lincoln. Mostly, it is to be noted that political career of Abraham Lincoln was focused upon in this 1918 play and there was as much as the one hundred and ninety-three performances that has been covered in the whole play’s theatrical adaptation. The latter was released in the year of 1919 that is vital to understand. And the theatrical production of the 1918 play was done by William Harris Jr. In the year of 1924, the first film adaptation of Drinkwater’s play was made and as later as in the year of 1952, an anthology serious that was broadcasted on the television was also made. Such was the impact of the great play by John Drinkwater.
