Unsung Heroes of the Freedom Movement from Assam

Abstract

The long freedom movement in India come to an end with a triumph in 1947. In this year   India achieved its freedom from about two hundred year of British supremacy. Like all other states, Assam also take part in country’s independent struggle. It played a prominent role in India’s Independent movement. The Assamese people mark conspicuous contributions at every stage of freedom struggle. Though many people played a vital role in countary’s freedom movement but their names always away from the time light. So, there is a need to highlights the noteworthy contributions of some unknown heroes of Indian independent movement. This article primarily deals with some unsung heroes from Assam who played a crucial rule in India’s freedom movement.
