Abstract

The coronavirus disease emanated in China in the Wuhan city in December 2019 6,7. Before that the virus originated in the early 1920’s which has emerged today in the form of such a dreadful disease. The World Health Organisation (WHO) declared COVID-19 as a pandemic on 30th January 7. The SARS COV virus has brought the most destructive healthcare crisis globally. Previous pandemics like HIV, H1N1, Spanish flu and Black Death surely all have played their vital role in shaping and bringing mass destruction on the planet. Unlike any other pandemic, COVID-19 has truly brought a devastating experience. The reason of COVID-19 becoming so dangerous is lack of immunity as well as systemic diseases acquired by people. The new virus and its newer strains affecting for the first time makes it the most lethal and deadly combination which can create an irreplaceable loss. Secondly, the rate at which HIV and H1N1 flu had spread was low and was less contagious than the COVID-19 virus itself. The average contagious transmission of H1N1 was 1.4 million people. But in the case of COVID-19 it went up to 2.5 million.
