Abstract
This article discusses the use of travel permits by Central Asian pilgrims in the XV and XIX centuries. Therefore, in order to cope with natural disasters, they set out on a journey with a large number of passengers, experienced guides, doctors, strong guards, water and food supplie. But in addition to such natural difficulties on the roads, there were many other obstacles related to the human factor that would hinder free movement.
