Abstract

The study aimed to identify the role of the family in enhancing the intellectual security of the child from the dangers of electronic games. And to identify the dangers of electronic games on the intellectual security of the child, the study also presented a proposed vision to activate the role of the family in enhancing the intellectual security of the child from the dangers of electronic games. In achieving the previous objectives, the study used the descriptive approach using the questionnaire tool that was specially prepared for this study and was applied to the families of children enrolled in kindergartens to know their educational role and the extent of their contribution to enhancing the child’s intellectual security from the dangers of electronic games. The study sample size reached (182) families, among Families whose children are enrolled in kindergarten in kindergarten institutions in the Najran region. One of the most important findings of the study is that the use of electronic games in early childhood helps children to enhance the child's intellectual security by accustoming the child to self-control. The results also include the weakness of the family’s perception of the reality of the development of intellectual security in terms of philosophical methods and appropriate procedures for the child, the weakness of the application of correct scientific curricula in the child’s use of electronic games, which exposes children to behavioral and deviant errors. The study recommended the necessity of holding training courses for parents in the field of promoting positive values ​​and building the personality of the child. Strengthening the culture of community cooperation among all community institutions, especially educational institutions based on raising and educating children, in the field of exchanging information about the manifestations of deviant thought, extremism and intellectual extremism in order to develop and strengthen preventive programs and appropriate treatment
