Abstract

The article reveals the concepts of competence and competence approach, and also examines the main types of competencies in the study of Russian as a non-native language, which play a major role in the formation of a comprehensively developed personality of a student, his theoretical thinking, linguistic intuition, abilities, and mastering the culture of speech communication and behavior.
