Abstract

This research attempted to explore Vietnamese respondents' task and relationship orientations working in educational organisations. Respondents working at educational institutions in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh cities were surveyed to identify their orientations. The data were investigated by Paired Samples T-test and Univariate analysis of variance (two-way ANOVA) regarding age, gender, and working experience as independent variables. The result indicated that Vietnamese respondents were more task-oriented than relationship-oriented. However, the influences of age, gender, and working experience did not have a significant impact on task and relationship orientations. Similarly, the interactions among age and working experiences; age and gender; working experiences and gender were also insignificant.
