Workplace anxiety and stress on employees of Multinational Technology Companies in Coimbatore: Globalization Factors Based Case Study

Abstract

Workplace anxiety and depression has substantial impact on economy. Studies by Studies by World Health Organization estimates that workplace anxiety and stress causes at least one trillion in lost productivity each year (World Health Organization, 2019). While there is myriad of studies that have studied the impact of workplace stress and anxiety on mental health, there have been very less studies that have studied economic globalization as a contributory factor to the anxiety and stress. The case studies here are an attempt to study from this perspective and understand the stress and anxiety levels of employees in a representative sample of Globalization Universe.
