Social Intelligence & its Relationship to Psychological Happiness in the Light of Satisfaction with University Life among Students of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University

Abstract

The study aimed to reveal the nature of the correlation between social intelligence (SI) and psychological happiness (PH) in the light of satisfaction with university life (SUL) among students of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, in addition to revealing the differences between male and female students in the level of SI, PH and SUL. The study sample consisted of (230) male and female students from Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, with (120) male students, (110) female students. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used a scale of SI, a scale of PH, and a scale of SUL on the study sample. The results of the study showed that there are statistically significant differences between male and female students in SI in favor of female students, and the presence of statistically significant differences between male and female students in PH and in favor of male students, and the absence of statistically significant differences between male and female students in SUL, existence of positive statistically significant correlations between the scales of SI, PH and SUL among the study sample, as well as there is a positive statistically significant correlation between SI scale and PH scale.
