Abstract

The article defines the specifics of the implementation and content of the components of research activities of students, which is a contribution to the justification of the scientific foundations of individual and personal development of students. Research work of students is a cognitive activity that constantly changes the subjects of interaction (student and teacher), leading each of them to the state of a carrier of an active transformative principle through the acquisition of cognitive, practical, creative and relationship experience.

The educational potential of students’ research activity as a cognitive activity aimed at independent search for subjectively new knowledge is due to the following functions in the educational process of the school that are implemented in the process of active interaction of the student with the teacher and other students: reflexive, motivational, cognitive, worldview and orientation. The structure of research activity is an interconnected and function-related relationship of components: value-target, intellectual-creative, operational, and performance-evaluation. The model of research activity in the school system includes the following stages: information and evaluation, fragmentary-technological, sequential-technological, creative and technological.
